Ridgeline Fitness is proud to be an Official HYROX Training Club! And if you’re already part of our community, you’re already getting the right training.

What is HYROX?

HYROX is the ultimate training in functional fitness. It is accessible, fun, engaging, challenging, and gets you in great shape, while training with a purpose. It translates the HYROX Race fundamentals into a comprehensive and well-rounded approach to performance fitness.

What is a HYROX race?

HYROX Races are a fitness challenge where you can test your fitness and compete in a healthy environment against yourself and other athletes in a measurable race with global rankings.

The event consists of eight 1km runs, each followed by a functional station, including the SkiErg, sled push and pull, row, sandbag lunges, burpees, and wall balls. Because the format is identical worldwide, your finish time is a real, measurable number you can compare globally. But more importantly, HYROX is the sport of fitness racing designed to be accessible for every body, whether you are a seasoned expert or completely new to fitness.

Even if you train at Ridgeline, there’s no pressure or expectation to ever race - HYROX training is just great, low-impact training that gets you fit.

Why Train for HYROX at Ridgeline?

Two of the eight HYROX stations are ergometer work: a 1,000m row and a 1,000m SkiErg. These are the most technique-dependent stations on the floor and where under-coached athletes lose the most time.

  • At Ridgeline Fitness, we don’t treat the row as just another thing to survive.

  • We have been coaching stroke mechanics, split discipline, and holding output under fatigue since day one.

  • Our data-driven programming perfectly prepares you for the specific physiological demands of a race.

  • Our workouts are designed to prepare you for every HYROX station, so you can prepare to compete without worrying about injury.

You Don’t Have to Race

We know the word "race" can sound intimidating, but participating in a competition isn't the only way to get involved. Most Ridgeline members may never pin on a bib, and that is perfectly fine.

  • We build HYROX training opportunities directly into every workout without requiring a separate sign-up.

  • These workouts build the kind of functional strength and endurance that makes everyday life easier.

  • Everything is scaled to whoever is in front of the coach, just like every class we run at Ridgeline.

Questions we get

Do I have to compete? No. It's an option, not an expectation. Nothing about your regular classes changes.

I don't run — can I still do this? Yes, for all Ridgeline classes - running is never required. If you decide to race, running is about half the event, and we'll build a plan from wherever you actually are.

Is it too hard for me? It's scaled to you — lighter loads (or just body weight), shorter intervals, modified movements. Hard in the way it's supposed to be, not the way that gets people hurt.

How long before I could race? For most reasonably active people, months rather than years. Ask a coach for an honest read on your timeline.
